The International Students Unit assists and advises international students in UNISSA with administrative services related to travel documents, national identification cards and immigration matters.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage international students’ welfare
- Liaise with external organizations such as scholarship sponsors on matters of student welfare.
- Assists faculties and centres in UNISSA with travel documents for inbound exchange students

- Renewal of Student Visa/Student Pass
- Extension of Student Pass
- Cancellation of Student Visa/Student Pass
- Application or Renewal of Brunei Green Identity Card (IC)
- Transfer student pass from old to new passport

Before Arrival
An international student would need to prepare the following document prior to travel
- A copy of Offer Letter issued by UNISSA
- A copy of the Reply Slip
- A copy of valid passport valid for the whole duration of the course in UNISSA
- Medical fitness certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner stating that you are medically fit to study in Brunei
- A completed visa application form
- A recent passport-sized photograph
- A copy of valid insurance that includes COVID-19 cover
