Background
Extending the portfolio of the Assistant Rector’s Office (Student and Alumni Affairs), therefore establishing an Entrepreneurship Hub (eHub) is a strategic move to instil an entrepreneurial mindset and build competencies for University students and alumni. Through this hub, these values can be properly developed by providing various support for students and alumni by carrying out activities, programs, workshops, and training that have a firm impact that focuses on cultivating business skills and stimulating entrepreneurial environments.
Aims
- Provide business financial loan opportunities to alumni entrepreneurs through the Alumni Association Fund to open a business with the condition that the loan money must be used to run and develop the business that has been given permission.
- Forge and connect strategic collaborations with industry and stakeholders to strengthen skills and empower entrepreneurial culture.
- Guiding the alumni by providing a guide or mentor who will monitor the journey of their start-up company.
- Create a UNISSA entrepreneurship database or data centre to facilitate monitoring and planning activities that are more focused and structured.
Objectives
- Provide an entrepreneurial environment and ecosystem to strengthen the entrepreneurial development program through targeted planning.
- Develop the character of students and alumni following an entrepreneurial culture.
- Establish a functional entrepreneurial network to support students and alumni who are dedicated to pursuing entrepreneurship as a profession.
- Establish measuring and monitoring systems for practical entrepreneurial endeavours.
- Enhance the support infrastructure for entrepreneurial research, learning, and teaching.
