HALAL SCIENCE STUDENTS LEFT TO PARTICIPATE IN INDUSTRIAL TRAINING AT UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA (UITM) SARAWAK, MALAYSIA

Friday, 10 May 2024 – A total of five Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre, UNISSA students have left for Universiti Teknologi MARA Sarawak to participate in industrial training for the academic session 2023/2024. The Bachelor of Halal Science students will be in Kuching, Sarawak for 10 weeks.

Present to wish a good sailing at the Brunei International Airport is Dr Zeiad Amjad Abdulrazzak Aghwan, Deputy Director at the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre, UNISSA and several academic staff. Among the objectives of sending these undergraduate students is to expose them to the halal industry in Malaysia and those related to it, to conduct research related to the halal sectors, and finally to gain experience and learning abroad.

UNISSA is active in providing its students with various academic excellence programs, especially those involving knowledge application. In the increasingly challenging era of globalisation, halal is becoming more and more important in the eyes of the world, not only among the Muslim community but also gaining acceptance from the non-Muslim community. Therefore, the University plays an important role in disseminating the concept of halal through collaboration and training conducted through their students in accordance with the wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah to make Brunei Darussalam one of the ‘global halal hubs’.
