7 HTRC STUDENTS LEFT FOR OSAKA, JAPAN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OSAKA UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (OUICP)

Wednesday – 1 February 2023, a total of 7 students of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) left for Osaka, Japan to participate in The Osaka University International Certificate Programme. The students participating in this program are postgraduate students majoring in Master of Halal Science at the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre, UNISSA. This program will run for 2 months at the Suita Campus, Osaka University, Japan. This group of students is the third group to join this program since it was offered in 2020. Students also received scholarships from Osaka University and the Japan Student Services Organization.

Osaka University is one of the most prestigious universities and ranks in the top 3 among universities in Japan. This reputation shows their initiative to offer programs for foreign students by introducing programs under Osaka University ASEAN Campuses such as The Osaka University International Certificate Programme.

UNISSA welcomes opportunities for students to gain knowledge and add experience by following internationalization programs offered by any University abroad. The opportunity for students to improve their academic performance and also stand out in halal research and further increase the employability of students in the rapidly growing halal industry.

Also present at the Brunei International Airport to wish a happy departure was Pengiran Dr Hajah Norkhairiah binti Pengiran Haji Hashim, Director at UNISSA’s Thayyiban Halal Research Center, and other academic staff.
