Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Authors are required to comply with the author instructions, and they are required to check the compliance of their submission with all the following prior to submission. Manuscripts may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

    • The submission has not been previously published, nor it is being processed before another journal for consideration.
    • The submission file is in Microsoft Word. Author must upload the article in two formats: one without affiliation and the other one with affiliation.
    • Citations and reference list follows the American Psychological Association (APA) Style Manual 7th edition.
    • Any acknowledgement by the author must be stated before the list of references.
    • Table and figures must be clear and sharp. Figures must be in the form of jpeg or tiff.
    • The article should be written in English languages, and it should be typed in Microsoft Word.
    • Manuscripts should be in Times New Roman Font, 12 in size; and 1.5 spacing.
    • The length of the manuscript should be no more than 8,000 words including any notes and references.
    • Keywords consisting of three (3) to five (5) words should be provided in the article.
    • Transliteration of Arabic words should follow the style indicated in the author’s guideline.
    • Where available and necessary, URLs for the references have been provided.
    • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

    Submission of Manuscript
    The corresponding author should ensure that the manuscript has been approved by all the co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Author Guidelines

  • Articles submitted must be original and have not been previously published or are under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Manuscripts are reviewed by two reviewers. The decision to publication is based on their recommendations of the reviewers.
  • Although UNISSA editors are responsible for the selection and acceptance of the articles and reserve the right to edit manuscripts as deemed appropriate, responsibility for opinions expressed in them rests solely with the individual authors.
  • Each contributor will receive one (1) copy of the issue containing the article.
  • Contributors must provide a brief identification of themselves with their full names, positions held, organization, qualification, address, email address and areas of research interest.
  • Article submitted to the Journal are not returnable whether they are accepted for publication or not.

 

Submission Preparation

  • The manuscript should be submitted in Microsoft Word (use 5 spacing). Manuscript should be written using the following format: (Type: Microsoft Word), Font type (Times New Roman), Font size(12), Spacing (1.5) and the article must not exceed 8000 words.
  • Title page: Include (1) the full title of the paper—short, clear, and specific; (2) the authors' full names; (3) the institutional affiliations of all authors; (4) the names, addresses (including zip codes), e-mail addresses, and phone numbers of all contributing authors; and (5) a running title of 3 or 4

 

  • The length of each manuscript should not exceed 20 pages (in single spaced) including illustrations, and tables and reference. The page number should be written at the lower center of each
  • Keywords: Include 3 to 5 keywords. All contribution must have a brief English abstract about 200 words, together with English keywords not more than 5 All pages should be numberedconsecutively, beginning with the title page.
  • Contents: Arrange the manuscript based on the following structure:
  • Title Page (with the title, authors’ names with affiliations, abstract and keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Acknowledgement (if any)
  • References (APA Style)
  • Tables and Figures (inserted at appropriate places within the manuscript. Table(s) and Figure(s) should have a Table or Figure number and an appropriate caption. Table(s) and Figure(s) needed to be cited in the text of the manuscript.)
  • References: References to the publications must be cited in APA Citation Style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and consistency. References should be listed in alphabetical order andtyped single-spaced, using Times New Roman font 12, and placed at the end of the manuscript.   • The journal exclusively accepts manuscripts that are submitted through the Open Journal System. All submissions, progress checks and decisions will be handled through the
  • Authors who have a conflict of interest or have received financial support should disclose this support on the title page of the article or on a separate sheet. If no conflict exists, please state that “no conflict of interest is ”
