Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES

Submission of Manuscripts:

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the Open Journal System (OJS). The submission should include the following:

  1. Title Page:
    • Full title of the manuscript (short, clear, and specific)
    • Names and affiliations of all authors
    • Contact details, including email and phone numbers
  2. Abstract and Keywords:
    • Abstract: 200 words in both English and Malay
    • Keywords: 3 to 5 keywords in both languages
  3. Manuscript Length and Format:
    • Length: Maximum 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures
    • Font: Times New Roman (12 pt) for English
    • Spacing: Double-spaced for text; single-spaced for footnotes
  4. References:
    • Follow the APA Style for citations and references.
  5. Footnotes:
    • Use Chicago-style footnotes, single-spaced, Times New Roman (10 pt).
  6. Figures and Tables:
    • Include figures and tables in separate files, clearly labelled and referenced within the manuscript.

REVIEW PROCESS

The review process consists of the following steps:

  1. Initial Editorial Review:
    • The editorial team conducts an initial screening for suitability and originality.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review:
    • Manuscripts are anonymized and reviewed by two experts in the field.
    • Reviewers provide detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  3. Author Revisions:
    • Authors may be required to revise their submissions based on reviewer comments.
  4. Final Editorial Decision:
    • The editorial team makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback.

COPYRIGHT POLICY

              Authors retain copyright for their published articles but grant JITech the right of first publication. Authors must obtain permission for any third-party material used in their work.

Permissions:

  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted material.
  • Permission must be granted for reuse of published articles.

 

POST-SUBMISSION PROCESS

  1. Editorial Review and Acknowledgment:
    • Submissions are acknowledged and reviewed for compliance with submission guidelines.
  2. Selection of Referees:
    • Two referees are selected to review each submission anonymously.
  3. Review Feedback and Decision:
    • Authors receive feedback, and revisions may be requested.
  4. Editing and Author Confirmation:
    • The editorial team finalizes the manuscript, and the author confirms the final version.
  5. Publication:
    • Articles are scheduled for publication in the next available issue.
