Summary: ADULT EDUCATION (POD) Adult education is an effort to organize education for adults. Adult education is aimed at adults. The term adult is mentioned because it is based on the completeness of physical conditions, including age and also their mentality and can fulfill (play a role) according to the demands of the duties of the status they have. Adult education can be done independently (self-education) which does not depend on educational institutions that compile educational programs. Adults as learners are very unique and different from early childhood and adolescents. Behavioral problems that often arise in adult education programs are getting new things, there is a mismatch (boredom), grandiose theories (difficult to practice), new recipes/instructions (independent), not specific and difficult to accept change. The adult education process aims to develop abilities, enrich knowledge, improve technical qualifications. and the professionalism of its participants. The adult education process should result in changes in attitudes and behavior that are of a personal development nature, and increased social participation of the individual concerned.
