SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1. Manuscripts submitted for consideration must not be under consideration or peer review or accepted for publication or published elsewhere and, if accepted, it should not be published elsewhere in the same form of its publication in the IJLSP.

2. The title page, information about the author, institutional affiliation and email should be on a cover page as a separate document.

3. The author’s name should appear centred under the title.

4. Manuscripts must be clearly written in United Kingdom English or Bahasa Melayu and should be submitted in electronic format in Microsoft Word to journal.ijlsp@unissa.edu.bn ; Cc yusuf.arowosaiye@unissa.edu.bn and widad.aziz@unissa.edu.bn

5. A copy of the manuscript must also be submitted on the website for The International Journal of Legal Studies and Policy (IJLSP) on https://unissa.edu.bn/journal/index.php/ijlsp

6. An abstract of 150 to 200 words which must include the objectives of the study, methodology, findings/results, method of data collection and summary of recommendations. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.

7. Keywords of 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

8. Article should not be less than 8000 words and not more than 10,000 words including tables, figures, references, and appendices (if any). Publication of articles indicates the contributors’ consent to the automatic transfer of all copyrights thereto, to the publisher of the IJLSP, UNISSA PRESS Brunei Darussalam.

9. It is the responsibility of authors to adequately proof-read their articles, and bear responsibility for all opinion expressed.

10. Submitted manuscripts will be subjected to plagiarism tests using Turnitin and Grammarly in compliance with the Guidelines of the Editorial Team.

11. Authors are recommended to use their ORCID ID when submitting an article for consideration or acquire an ORCID ID via the submission process.

12. Manuscripts should be well referenced in footnotes (not endnotes) and must accord with the Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA 4th edition) available at law.ox.ac.uk/oscola

13. Deadline for submission of articles, case reviews and comments is on Wednesday, 30th April 2025.
