520 | _aThis study is looking into the development of prostitution in the West, Asia and Negara Brunei Darussalam. How does the prostitution phenomenon occur within the society of Brunei? This study also focuses on individual involvement, causes, method of operation, and the outcome of prostitution including steps taken to counteract the activity by members of the law enforcement agencies. Based on the total arrests, how extensively is prostitution being exercised so that it has become a necessity in the district studied? Based on the data analysis the important feature is the total involvement of locals and foreigners during the research years 1995 to 2001, whereby the total number of arrests involving prostitutions in Brunei and Muara District were 225 including 41 locals (police Reports) and 139 foreigners only (Immigration Reports). Therefore the data analysis has answered the abovementioned issues. | ||
