Summary: In this book, an attempt is made to examine the nature and functions of law, the sources of law, traditions of law and study of the use of the law to control social behavior. It introduces to students about the fundamental concepts of legal method, and then, step by step teaches them to work with these concepts in a practical way. Efforts are also made to examine the wider dimensions of the law, such as concepts and principles underlying the law, exploring the concept of "justice", 'morality' 'social changes and policy'. In addition to it, it also included a detailed discussion on legal systems of other cultures and classifications of law. This book aims to be a blend of philosophy, law and social sentence and will be useful to law students, lawyers, and public administrators, who have an interest in legal issues including those from criminology, sociology, psychology, government, politics, and social administration.
