The International Seminar on Islamic Thought was firstly organized in 2004 and was well received and attended by more than 200 scholars from all over the world. This Second International Seminar on Islamic Thought (ISOIT2) therefore is intended to continue the intellectual tradition cherished by the Department in enhancing the Islamic discussion on many important issues challenging the Muslims in recent time.
The Second International Seminar on Islamic Thought (ISOIT2 2009) is a medium of discussion for all Muslims over the world on the issues pertaining to the Muslim and Islam. It is a place where the Muslim scholars, researchers, academics meet every five years to discuss the global issues related to Islam and non-Muslim counterparts. The Seminar conducts paper presentations in Arabic, English and Malay delivered by reputable scholars from renowned institutions on different topics crossing through various academic disciplines and intellectual fields.
In addition to the theoretical and practical disciplinary thrust reflected in Islamic-oriented studies, ranging from Education, Politics, Social Sciences, Economic, Banking and Financing, Muslim Unity, Environmental Protection, Administration, Management, Legal Studies, Philosophy, Contemporary Islamic Thought, etc
