Two years of coordination, hundreds of people, and thousands of hours were needed for the Shrimp Farm Management Workshop for Southeast Asia. Back-to- back workshops with shrimp farm tours were held in Manila (Philippines), Sura- baya (Indonesia), and Songkhla (Thailand). A total of 1,600 participants attended the workshops. A tremendous amount of shrimp culture technology was actively discussed and transferred between consultants, between participants, and be- tween consultants and participants. This workshop provided the opportunity to discuss the differences of shrimp culture technology from around the world. This exchange of information was beneficial to all.
The team of consultants observed, compared, and discussed the various concepts and technologies of shrimp culture.
