ISLAMIC EDUCATION Strengthening the Nation of Zikir contains seven collections of working papers that were presented during the First Islamic Education Convention organized by the Department of Islamic Studies, Ministry of Religious Affairs which was held on 4-5 Muharram 1433H corresponding to 30 November & 1 December 2011 at the International Conference Centre, Berakas. The convention which was held to strengthen Islamic Education and further strengthen Brunei Darussalam as a Nation of Zikir is in accordance with its theme: Islamic Education Strengthening the Nation of Zikir is a compilation of working papers presented by Islamic education scholars from MABIMS member countries. It focuses on the quality of Islamic education and the elements that lead to that quality while discussing and debating Islamic education matters in line with the current challenges of globalization to strengthen education as a universal symbol throughout the ages.
The Seri Begawan Religious Education University College Publishing Centre is an important component of the organizational structure of KUPU SB. This centre is committed to providing publishing and research facilities for its academic staff and also scholars from outside KUPU SB. In its young age, this Centre has already published more than 60 scientific books. In addition to books, this Centre also publishes journals, monographs and Bulletins. The KUPU SB Publishing Centre welcomes cooperation with other publishers who share the same aspiration as a disseminator of knowledge among the community, both within and outside Brunei Darussalam
