This book presents the "History of Purih Mukim Saba" which has been recorded in the history of Brunei, its relationship and contribution in the "History of the Sultanate of Brunei" since the beginning of the establishment of the Brunei government until today. This book also shows the success and contribution of the people of Saba from the time of the British Resident administration in 1905/1906 to the current reign of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah. The service of the people of Saba in ancient times known as the "Sakai" community/tribe which means "King's Warrior" or "King's Companion" to the Sultans of Brunei since the reign of Awang Alak Betatar (later known as Sultan Muhammad Syah (1363-1402), Sultan of Brunei 1). The service and contribution of the Saba people in the past in the administration of the Sultanate of Brunei was so great that they were the ones who found the new Brunei State Site based in Garang and then moved to Kampung Ayer in Kota Batu. Then moved again in Kampung Ayer where it is now. This Brunei State site was discovered by the Sakai (Saba people) and Pateh Berbai (known later as Sultan Ahmad (1408-1425), the 2nd Sultan of Brunei) In memory of the services of the people of Saba, the Sultan of Brunei has awarded them some Royal equipment and titles to be used by them. The royal equipment such as Changkah, Sinipit, Gegandung and Gulingtangan. Meanwhile the royal titles are Pateh and Damong. The people of Saba continued to sow merit in the reigns such as the reign of Sultan Bolkiah, Sultan Abd. Kahar, Sultan Saiful Rizal, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien II (Time of James Brooke and British Invasion), Sultan Hashim Jalilul Alam Aqamaddin, Sultan Ahmad Tajudin. The struggle and contribution of the people of Saba who are now resident in this Mukim is like the saying "Broken, Grown, Lost, Changed" where the success of the Saba Mukim did not stop just like that, but their contribution and service to the King, Religion and Country continued to be Powerful and Excellent until the 20th and 21st Century, especially in the state of Brunei experiencing rapid development and progress: the country until today. Mukim Saba's success can be seen in the fields of Quran reading, Associations and Sports, Religion, Entrepreneurship, Defense and Security, National Administration whether in the Government or Private Sector. In the field of Religion, for example, Purih Mukim Saba has achieved excellence to the point of being awarded as the National Huffaz (Hafiz al-Quran), figure in the teaching of the Quran and Excellent Teacher.
