Kemunculan golongan anti-hadith atau inkar sunnah bukan perkara baru dalam dunia Islam. Ia telah bermula daripada peristiwa Wasil bin Atha' keluar daripada majlis guru Hasan al-Basri dan membentuk jemaah alirannya sendiri. Golongan ini timbul dan berpusat di Basrah. Mereka menolak hadith sebagai sumber hukum serta lebih cenderung menggunakan aqal fikiran semata-mata. |
