Agama Islam telah mengajarkan beberapa langkah yang patut kita lakukan dalam membersihkan hati dan jiwa daripada sebarang dosa dan maksiat seperti memperbanyakkan zikir dan istighfar. Jika seseorang hamba itu sering melakukan dosa dan maksiat, maka perbuatannya itu akan menjadi penghalang dirinya untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala dan ia lebih cenderung lagi untuk menghampirkan diri kepada perkara-perkara mungkar dan maksiat. Oleh itu, perbanyakkanlah istighfar dan taubat kerana dengan beristighfar boleh menjadikan jiwa, hati dan fikiran tunduk kepada Allah untuk memohon ampun terhadap segala dosa yang telah dilakukan. |
