The seafood trade in the ASEAN region has shown an increasingly fast growth, to meet the ever expanding regional ad international markets. To cope with this increasing demand, modern technology fr mass capture is being applied, which has resulted in the production of by-catches, which are either being under utilised or rejected. Faced with the issue of dwindling natural resources, it is therefore necessary to put a lot of effort in trying to utilise these by-catch especially for direct human consumption. |
