On Tuesday, 21st January 2025, the Launching of ASEAN Campus Joint Laboratory Between Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, UNISSA and The University of Osaka was held at Ibnu Sina Scientific Laboratory Centre, UNISSA, Sinaut Campus- Officiated by the Guest of Honour, Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam.
The ceremony commenced with an opening speech delivered by Dr Cristalina binti Jalil Marsal, Director of Ibnu Sina Scientific Laboratory Centre, UNISSA. Next, Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA, presented tokens of Appreciation to the Guest of Honour and Professor Dr. Kyoshi Fujita, Senior Advisor to the President of The University of Osaka.

The plaque signing by the GOH, Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad was witnessed by the Rector of UNISSA and Professor Dr. Kyoshi Fuji-ta, followed by a group photo and laboratory tour of the Centre.

Present were His Excellency, Mr Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, officials of University Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and University Teknologi Brunei (UTB), senior officials of government agencies from The Department of Syariah Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs, The Department of Agriculture and Agrifood and The Department of Fisheries, Ministry
