This study is about the difficulty in providing livelihood and what is the effect of Fiqh Islam and the Law of Brunei. In this thesis, I explain what is the meaning of difficulty in the 4 Mazhabs and answer some questions that may be the question of this topic. Indeed the maintenance is an obligation given by Islam and is very important in the life of a husband and wife, especially the husbands. However, there are still some of the Islamic societies in the country, especially those who are less sensitive and concerned about the issues of their own benefits. Therefore, in this case it tells a number of factors that cause difficulty in the provision of livelihood from the husband to his wife and dependents and to tell the effects on it. The suggestion in this topic is that husbands should be concerned about the obligation to provide the living and health care to avoid any inconvenience in the provision of maintenance.en_US
