Abstract

This research discusses the critical views of a remarkable genius Arab Scholar ((Ibn Khaldun)) who is well known in his amazing works in the fields of history, sociology and economy, besides his various important contributions in the other fields. This research brings up variety of aspects which the contemporary researcher disregard to focus in Ibn Khaldun in their studies. Therefore, this research reveals the different points of view in his manifestation as a poet, a speaker and a writer and also includes his intellectual and creative work in these fields. This study is supported with several of appendices – prepared by the writer- which clearly reflects these aspects and fields. It also obtains a study which focusing on the most important monetary issues in Prolegomena of Ibn Khaldun, which explains his views in these cases –after placing them in the scope of literary criticism through discussion and analysis indicating his proper position in literary criticism. The researcher has tried –within her capacity and ability- to write a complete beneficial scientific study revealing those various aspects in the personality of Ibn Khaldun as a literary intellectual, explaining his views in the field of literary criticism which are supported by strong evidences and documentations.
