Abstract: This research was held to find out and learn more about the history of when the Islam comes into Brunei Darussalam. In particular, or generally into Southeast Asian countries. The aim is to determine the impacts of the usage of Arabic Language ever since Islam arises in Brunei Darussalam. This kind of research can gives a lots of knowledge and idea especially among the students in Arabic schools about the impacts from the wide spread and expansion on using the Arabic Language in the country as soon as Islam arises. Other than that, the students may also learn the origins of Islam. This will gives great exposure to the students about Islam and the usage of Arabic Language. The coming of Islam into this country is the one who introduce Arabic Language to the people. This shows that the Arabic Language plays important role in Islam. The main reasons are because Arabic Language is the language of Islam, the language of paradise, and also the language of the Holy Quran. For the Muslim people in Brunei Darussalam, learning this Arabic Language is very necessary so that it can go along with the goals and vision to make Brunei Darussalam as a country of ‘Zikir’.</summary>

Abstract: This study aims to identify the problems and difficulties faced by the students and teachers, in Arabic secondary schools in learning and teaching Arabic literature. It also attempts to investigate the factors causing the decline in student achievement in Arabic literature. The researcher has randomly selected respondents as samples of the study, consisting of (90) students from year 9 to year 11, and (10) teachers teaching Arabic literature in Arabic secondary schools in Brunei Darussalam. This study uses descriptive, analytical method of evaluation in its approach. The researcher has distributed a set of questionnaires to respondents and conducted interviews with the teachers who teach Arabic literature, officer in the curriculum section in Islamic studies department and skilled lecturers in Arabic literature to analyze data and obtain findings. Through this study, various findings have been obtained, for example, students are unable to understand the lessons and instead just memorize what was being taught. Also, students could not understand if the teacher gives explanation entirely in Arabic. The study also shows the view among teachers that some of the topics in the syllabus are not appropriate with students age, and some topics are difficult to understand. The study concludes by providing some recommendations and suggestions to increase the students’ performance in Arabic literature and improve teaching and learning Arabic literary in Arabic schools in Brunei Darussalam. In addition, it emphasizes a need to provide a more appropriate curriculum for Arabic literature in Arabic secondary schools.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: دراسة تحليلية تقويمية لكتاب البلاغة الواضحة المستخدم في المدارس العربية للمرحلة الثانوية العالية ببروني دارالسلام

Abstract: This research aims at analyze and evaluate the Rhetoric textbook ( البلاغة الواضحة ) for teaching the Rhetoric subject in Brunei Darussalam’s Arabic Secondary High Schools. The researcher has followed the analytical evaluative approach to reach the objectives of this research; to study the compatibility of Rhetoric school textbook ( البلاغة الواضحة ) used in Arabic schools in accordance with the scientific standards for school textbook and, to study the validity of this book in relation to the level of the students and their goals and preferences in learning. The researcher has obtained the relevant data through questionnaires provided to learners and teachers of Rhetoric subjects. This research report includes three chapters in which the researcher reviews Rhetoric Knowledge in Chapter One. Then in Chapter Two, the researcher elaborates on Analysis: its definition, its characteristics and its steps, and also analyzing al-Balaghah al-Wadihah book. Chapter Three provides the details of the survey conducted. The research concludes with the findings, recommendations, references and appendices. The study has found that the Rhetoric textbook ( البلاغة الواضحة ) used in Arabic schools in Brunei Darussalam does not fit entirely be a textbook, pertaining to its level of toughness and unsuitability for teaching non-Arabic-speaking students.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: رواية عمالقة الشمال لنجيب الكيلاني دراسة تحليلية فنية نقدية

Abstract: This study centered on the novel ‘Amaliqah al-Shamal’ by Najeeb Kilani. And it consists of introduction, four chapters and conclusion. The introduction contains the reasons for selecting this study, the research objectives, methods, scope and boundaries of this study. The first chapter begins with a complete introduction of the author, and highlights the special features that may possess and determine the elements. This study reveals all the contributions of the author in terms of ideas that led to his position in modern Arabic literature. The second chapter contains an analytical study of the structural elements of the novel, begins with a reference and summary, followed by the main ideas, motives, characters, time, place, social environment, the events, conflicts, and ended with the solutions. The third chapter contains an aesthetic study of the language style, plot, description of characters and events and focuses on novel methods of storytelling. In the fourth chapter, the novel is placed under the scope of critics views, and stating its position among works of art in modern Islamic literature. The conclusion consists of a summary and specific findings obtained by the researcher. Najeeb Kilani is regarded as the pioneer of Islamic literature, especially in the art of novel as he wrote more than 40 novels. The novel ‘Amaliqah al-Shamal’ is which the author deals with issues and problems of the Muslim world in general and Nigeria particular as it is one of the islamic country.</summary>
