Abstract
In this research, the researcher will explain the prohibition of acting. This study focuses on the understanding of Brunei society regarding the prohibition of acting and to what extent Brunei society understands the art of acting that is prohibited by the Islamic faith or Islamic state. They follow Western culture in acting and do not emphasize the responsibility or limitations of a Muslim in the art of acting because of a lack of understanding of prohibited acting. There is a need for change to realize that this is prohibited and to educate Muslims about the proper boundaries of acting. Acting is not prohibited as long as it follows Shariah law. This study is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, the researcher discusses forbidden arts and the prohibition of acting. In the second chapter, the understanding of prohibited acting is explained in terms of dialogue and behavior in acting. The third chapter explains the extent of Brunei society's understanding of the prohibition of acting. The fourth and final chapter explains how to overcome the prohibition of acting. The research methodology used in this scientific exercise is to refer to the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet and to books of Fiqh and related books in the library or on the internet, as well as responses answered from respondents in a "Google form". From this research, determine the extent of a person's understanding and education about the prohibition of acting.
