Abstract
In this thesis, the writer will explain the importance of Muslims understanding the laws in every aspect, especially in the modern era where many things need to be cautious, such as in the field of health or medicine. The writer will explain one of the new medical treatments, namely artificial insemination (IVF). In the first chapter, the writer will explain the definition of IVF, types of IVF, and the views of scholars of the past and present on the law of IVF. Furthermore, in the second chapter, the writer will discuss the science of faraidh, which is the Islamic inheritance law, the definition of inheritance property, and who is eligible to receive inheritance. The writer links faraidh to IVF because it is still new and has not been extensively discussed regarding the effects of inheritance rights on children born through IVF. In chapter three, the writer will explain in detail the issue of inheritance rights for children born out of wedlock or illegitimate children (children not recognized by their father), which is similar to children born through IVF. Who will inherit the property in the future? The results of this study were obtained from a review of articles, previous studies, as well as references from books and the internet. In this discussion, the writer also wants to emphasize the importance of Muslims understanding the laws in every aspect, including in the field of health such as IVF, and how it affects Islamic inheritance. This will help us make wise decisions that are in accordance with religious teachings.
