Abstract
This scientific study aims to investigate and examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on worship, particularly from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence, including its impact on the country of Brunei Darussalam and the world. I have created a proper focus and guide for readers on what COVID-19 is and how it affects worship from an Islamic jurisprudence standpoint. My study focuses on worship performed when the pandemic prevents Muslims from worshiping as usual, determining whether such worship is legitimate from an Islamic jurisprudence perspective. My research encompasses contemporary issues involving worship, including obligatory and recommended acts of worship. At the same time, my study analyzes the impact of COVID-19 on worship across the Islamic world, from the emergence of the pandemic until the present. My study also covers Islamic views on COVID-19, including the perspective of the Mufti of Brunei Darussalam, which serves as a guide for the people of Brunei Darussalam and surrounding areas.
