Abstract
This study is made up of three main topics and each topic has its own subtopic respectively. This study will explain explicitly about the meaning of entertainment from the general view and from the Islamic view. This study also discusses about the types of entertainment that are prohibited and not prohibited in Islamic Fiqh. In this study also, it included the view of the four Mazhab and also the other famous scholars. The method used in this paper were practical research and theoretical research comprising comprehensive reading of Fiqh books. As the result, ‘Ulama agreed that entertainment is permitted in some parts of it. Moreover, in this study, it focuses on the discussion of some certain types of entertainment that are popular in the past and the present days. Besides all of that, this study also focuses on the knowledge and understanding of the Bruneians about entertainment according to Islamic Fiqh. Lastly, in conclusion, entertainment in Islam has its own boundaries that should not be broken.
