Abstract

This study aims to present the laws of zakat, particularly zakat in Brunei Darussalam. The objective of this study is to understand zakat in general. The purpose of this study is to encourage and deepen the understanding of Muslims regarding zakat in their lives. Zakat is divided into two parts, namely zakat on wealth and zakat al-fitr. This study consists of three chapters, and each chapter contains several sections. The information for this study was obtained from library materials, which serve as references, including books on Fiqh. In conclusion, the important outcome of this study is that zakat is obligatory for every Muslim and should not be neglected. I hope this study will be beneficial to the Muslim community, especially the community in Brunei Darussalam.
