Abstract

This research is entitled: "The rulings of marriage with kitabiyyah from Islamic fiqh and law of Brunei". This research focuses in the law of marriage between Muslims and non-Muslims in terms of rules and laws. This research is divided into several chapters. The first chapter explains about marriage from the point of view, the arguments that are prescribed, the law and the wisdom of marriage in Islam. In the second chapter explains the meaning of “kitabiyyah” and the opinion of scholars about marriages of different religions. The third chapter describes the marriage of Muslims with non-Muslims in Brunei, the pillars of marriage in Brunei, and the legal requirements for marriage in Brunei. One of the objectives of this study is to determine the legal aspects of marriage with Kitabiyyah in Brunei and understand the impact of marriage with Kitabiyyah. The findings of this research can contribute to knowledge and understanding of the laws concerning marriage with Kitabiyyah. The writing of this research uses the library research method by using library references which are fiqh books and those related to it.
