Abstract

The main goal of this paper is to analyze the management of Zakat funds in Brunei Darussalam. And more specifically, it aims to investigate how the recipient of Zakat money perceives the current quality of Zakat management through paying special attention to the distribution of Zakat money. It also aims to study the efficiency of Zakat administration in Brunei, especially the aspects of distribution and collection. The results show in this paper that the Zakat administration in Brunei Darussalam is progressing to achieve the main goals of the Zakat system. This paper also presents some useful policy implications to improve the management of Zakat funds and how policies related to the impact of this problem on Zakat institutions and Zakat recipients can respond positively to challenges and develop and support Zakat institutions in Brunei Darussalam to be more. efficiency and reliability in collection and distribution of Zakat funds.
