Abstract

Poetry is a very popular genre of poem. Its fame is not only in Malay land, but poetry is also used everywhere other than Malay land such as Arab land, English land and for those from European land. Poetry and poems are one of the gentlest ways of speaking. Telling the other party about the news you want to convey in a soft and perfect tone. With a word that is flowery as a word starter. The book that was studied is the book Sair Perlegagaan Negeri Brunei, Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien. One of the books produced by the late Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien, the 28th Sultan of Brunei Darussalam. In the first chapter of this study, I discussed the reasons why I chose this topic as the study I studied for my degree. Also attached are all the questions and purposes that I prepared as my motivation to carry out this task. The importance of discussion lies in the use of poetry and poetry in the future. This study also talked about the late Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'addul Khairi Waddien about his life, his studies his death and about the results of his struggle during his reign through his books and works such as this book and other books that he has written himself. In addition to that, in the third chapter of this thesis was debates about vocabularies from the first 10 poems from the book of Brunei State Constitution Poems, Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien, according to the meaning of the language and the term.
