Abstract

This paper explores the contribution and role of Nusaibah binti Ka'ab, one of the prominent companions of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W during battles in the early days of Islam. Nusaibah binti Ka'ab was known for her courage, and she played a decisive role in many battles, including the Battle of Uhud and the Battle of Hunayn. This research aims, through the analysis of historical sources, to shed light on the military achievements of Nusaibah binti Ka'b and her role in defending Islam. The paper begins by introducing the concept of women and jihad, highlighting the definition of women and jihad linguistically and terminologically, and the legitimacy of jihad. Then the research focused on the life of Nusaibah binti Ka'ab and her participation in some of the battles, especially the Battle of Uhud, where she fought fiercely and even protected the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W from the enemy's attack. The research also explores the contribution of Nusaibah bint Ka'ab and her role during the battle, as she played a vital role in helping the Muslim warriors behind the line. This paper concludes that Nusaibah binti Ka'ab's contribution to Islam is an essential part of Islamic history and deserves recognition for her exceptional courage.
