Abstract

This research intends to discuss Muhammad Abdullah Diraz’s approach in uncovering the miracles of al-Qur’an in the way of thematic studies. It utilizes inductive-analytic principle referring literature materials related to al-Qur’an which are achieved by Diraz, beside the number of lectures in seminars, forums, and Egypt Radio Channel codified in books and journals. Chronologically, this study begins with Diraz’s idea about Thematic Exegesis, followed by conceptual studies about the concept of miracles, its types, and his opinion on Shirfah. This research concludes that Diraz owns a brief method revealing secret of miracles of Al-Qur’an. In this matter, Diraz possess a comprehensive analysis in a usage of vocabularies in Al-Qur’an, careful in the way of expressing a context of surah or ayah, and also exploits the scientific discovery and historical fact to strengthen the miracles of Al-Qur’an. Indicating the miracles of Al-Qur’an Diraz reviews comparatively the teachings of Al-Qur’an with another lesson both the divine traditions or other teachings. Furthermore, this research concludes that Diraz has successfully adopt the method of Thematic Exegesis to explain the new aspects of the miracles of Al-Qur’an. It is shown from his comprehensive and universal view about themes in Al-Qur’an, a good division about those topics, and how he concludes Quranic opinion about a specific subject. All of these advantages are delivered by a beautiful literature language attracts and enlightens the mind. Last but not a least, Researcher submits several recommendations for whoever want to study Diraz’s thought in particular, and the miracles of Al-Qur’an in general.
