Abstract
The Islamic Sharia was based on facilitating the observance of their servants and taking into account their interests, and legislated provisions that take into account their interests and needs. This research aims to explain the provisions of the traveler in Islamic jurisprudence and the various Rukhsah Asy-Syari’ah related to travel. The method of the study is by making inference from a number of books of Fiqh of Four Mazha. The research was based on four chapters: the first chapter dealt with explaining the reality of travel, the second chapter permits purity in travel, the third chapter is prayer in travel, and the fourth is Rukhsah for fasting in travel. From the study, it can be seen that rulings of a traveller in Islam will not drift away from concession or Rukhsah Asy-Syari’ah, where exceptions to general law will be granted in order to preserve the public interest. This is because in travelling there will be hardships, that require such concession or exception to the general rules. Also, it can be seen that there are things that in general norms it is not necessary for a person to know, however, when a person becomes a traveller, those things become crucial and compulsory for one to learn. All in all, this study will discuss further on the rulings of a traveller in Islam and matters related to it in respect of the concession or Rukhsah Asy-Syari’ah and other aspects that is required for a traveller to know.
